  I don't know if Ironwood is any better or worse than any other Vet. When I took my dog in because she had a really tender stomache, was hiding in the corner behind the couch with her face in the corner, just not wanting to be touched and not getting any better for a couple of days. I call Ironwood and they get me in Sat morn "they keep a few spots open in Sat so they don't have to charge emergency fees." The Vet examines her and says he can't really tell what the problem is without blood work and X rays an that will be $300.00 I say ok. X rays and blood work come back fine, nothing can be seen that is not normal. Vet prescribes meds for her tummy thinking she ate something that isn't being processed normally. The Vet kindly have me his personal number sense it was Sat and no one would be in the office till Mon. That was cool. They called back Mon and Tues to check on her. That was good. The medicine did the trick, but I wish Vet would have let me try the meds first before the $300.00 X rays and blood work. I do think Ironwood is a good veterinary office, but it's also a business. I will go back because I think they are as good as any other Vet maybe a little bit higher in price for things like expressing anal glands that is routine and done by a vet tech so I don't think it should be $27.
